Siena Damiani

ABOUT

Siena Damiani is a Houston-based artist studying at Rice University, where she recently received the 2025 Keeton Award in Painting and Drawing. In addition to various painting and drawing media, Siena works in printmaking, collage, beading, poetry, digital illustration, and anything else she can get her hands on.

Siena's work draws from her environment—the commutes, clutter, images, bus stops, bodies, waiting rooms. The growing list of homes she’s filled and emptied, the fixations that possess and abandon her.
Bits of the world stick to her as she moves and she makes space for them. She is passionately in love with the mundane and the metaphysical alike.

She's trying to write in the third person to feign proffessionalism but it isn’t doing much for her. Everything she makes is a bit too tender, in both senses of the word; “tender” as in full of love, and “tender” as in you wince to touch it.
